ITA is funding that's available from an SDS Individual Training Account (ITA), which can be used as payment for Courses that are available from Hawkhill Training Services.

You could be entitled to £200 worth of funding to build up your skills to get a job, and because it’s not a loan, you don’t need to worry about paying it back!

Could ITA be right for you?

 You could receive upto £200 towards a single course or training episode per year.  ITA Funding could be right for you if you meet the following criteria:

  • 16 or over, not in education or involved in any other SDS funded programme;
  • Unemployed and looking to get back into work;
  • Employed in a low-income job and looking to progress in your career;
  • Resident in Scotland

How to apply:

 You can search for ITA Courses and apply online. You'll need a valid email address and your National Insurance number to hand.

Once you've applied for funding, you will receive a confirmation email from Skills Development Scotland with instructions how to book your course. To book a place, you'll need to prove your income. You will receive details of the documents you can use in your confirmation email.

You will then have 8 weeks from the time of your application being successful to book your place on a course.
